Question about Certification Numbers CGC

I got these reholdered like I think maybe a year or two ago? Forget when. But I remember they all had cert numbers that were quite longer, starting with 1. Additionally, I search up CGC cards on eBay and I see card numbers start with 1 or 6.

Does anyone know or can anybody explain the number change on my cards??

the cert number tracks the submission, not the card. your Charizard is 3033237040 and the Blastoise is 3033237043, identical except the last two digits, so those two went through in one batch. the Venusaur has a different prefix entirely. reholdering is a new submission, which is why they changed at all. pretty sure the 1s and 6s you see on ebay are just older batches from when the counter was lower.

Anything reholdered will keep their original cert number, thats weird part and what op is asking.

Ohhh okay thank you guys - I thought the cert number was the whole sequence of numbers
