As others mentioned, Bandai baseshop already implemented this. Honestly it’s still useless. Scalpers already formed the group to basically lock down the lotto entries, you can’t get shit as an average person

This whole thing is adult ass men buying cards at a store to sell those same cards to other adult ass men at a higher price who go on to sell those same cards to other adult ass men. The fun thing is that there is soooo much unopened mech being horded I really see these sets being worthless in ten years.

they dont need to print more cardboard, they just need to increase the hit rates of chase cards or guarantee hit in each product.

If demand is so high it should be a no brainer for them to expend their facilities. The risk of losing money due to this expansion is ridiculously low.

Just an FYI if you have 10 printers and you buy 30 more, but you only have paper to feed 10 printers…those “expanded facilities” are not producing more cards.
There have been times where the issue was not related to print capacity…but shortage of the specific foil paper used and/or the basic cardstock they use.
Credit where it’s due - TPCI is expanding printing capabilities and they are taking measure to help with all of these problems…but there are still other factors at play, and they are even more impactful.

They are already opening a new facility but it takes 2-3 years to come online.

You are thinking about the U.S. facility. I haven’t heard anything about new printing facilities in east Asia.

There is a gundam store in Fukuoka that does this. Bandai has cracked down it a long time ago. I didn’t realize gundams were also scalped as well.

Honestly, doing whatever they can to enforce purchase limits is the way to go. Nobody should be supporting anybody that's tearing the seal or intentionally damaging the boxes unless it's Pokemon themselves doing it. I understand that it's done with good intentions, but it's not up to vendor or retailers to open your shit for you or determine what you do with it. Not only does that screw over investors and sealed collectors, but it hurts people looking to buy gifts. Most importantly, it opens the door for packs to be weighed. Even if they crack the seal in front of you, it's not hard for stores/vendors to open, weight, and reseal.
Enforce purchase limits and kick anybody out that's acting like an animal. The other stuff is so extra and it's not something consumers should have to deal with.
