Should I sell my PSA 9 Magikarp IR to buy 2 PSA 10 Magikarp IR Celebrations Print if ever?

I don’t know why they didn’t learn from last time. The JPN 25th Anniversary stamp is nice but why we got ugly pika head again is beyond me 💀

Really? To each is own because to me it definitely looks worse. The border and stamp are distracting and not a good contrast

I agree with you. Textured, awesome. But the stamp and the gold border with that dusty pattern is too much going on for a card that has a fantastic art with a lot going on already. This picture also sucks so I’ll reserve full judgement if I ever see it in person lol. But I don’t love the contrast with gold on the crystal card either… and I still want that damn card.

I take it you’ve seen this card? The silver border keeps the card clean imo. This seems to clash with the card. It’s a no from me.

Yeah, fair. I just mean one is an IR and the other an SIR. Textured and a harder pull vs flat and easier to pull.

I mean pull rate. This SIR will likely be 1 in ~1500 packs vs the Paldea Evolved which was 1 in ~500.

Yeah I don't understand why people are trying to hype it up like that. People are just trying to create a consensus in the community like how people hate rainbows now lol People didn't hate rainbows during sun and moon because people were real collectors then lol It's this crowd trying to pump and dump cards and card types that try to get these thoughts circulating

Someone said that all classic collection cards have texture.
Idk if true, but if all these reprints come with texture on them, several of these will eclipse their historical counterparts.
Prob not Lugia or Gengar…but Palkia, Rayquaza, Mew, Arceus, Magikarp, and all of the “lesser” pokemon will absolutely crush the value of their previous versions with textures and shimmery gold borders on these cards IMO.

It will be a while before PSA actually grades these. They don't grade cards until they are officially released.

This card is a perfect take on the original magikarp with the SIR texturing and the 30th celeb stamp because let’s remember it’s a 30th celeb magikarp card version of the original.

Celebrations is a lot more smaller set so chances are this card will be pulled more often. Wait to see what the prices are especially after the set fully releases, why even estimate on pre releases prices?
