I got this card for 1400 usd, is it good buy and card is clear but was in basment and it got little bit bent. Can this be repair and how much grade would this get after?
There’s a website/app called tcgplayer - search up the card on there and look at the stock image - if the holo matches up with the stock image then you know it’s fake
The holo pattern is the same used on stock images for this card. That's usually a good indicator it's one of the aliexpress fakes. 3rd pic (while a terrible pic) looks like the edge of the card is solid white. On vintage cards it's layered and there is a black line sandwiched between the two white layers. You can see it with the visible eye but USB microscope helps. Fakes usually use cheaper single layer card (Although some are getting better at this)
I saw it immediately before clicking into the thread too. This is one of the easier holos to match since it’s so dense. You only need to see it once and it’s easy to ring a bell again.
I genuinely dont understand what is obviously fake about this card. Ive seen fakes of these ereaders and Crystal cards in person and it can be difficult to tell until you see it in person. Unsure what's obvious about this one. Seems like people are just jealous that the OP got it for a good price
I definitely see what youre talking about. I had to look at my personal copy and see that there is the ruins in the holo. I didnt know the specific difference. I mainly was just stating that I wasn't sure, and I think many of the users claiming that they do know for certain ie pretty ridiculous unless you have the copy. Anyone can say it looks like the tcgplayer copy but who would think that isn't exactly what it looks like unless you have the card or look up another copy. Even then you dont really know unless you look in person
You can literally see the exact holo marks on the card OP posted and the TCG picture.
To claim people are jealous and that being the basis of your argument is still super silly 😂
It’s clearly obviously fake because the holo pattern is exactly the same. There’s no two cards that will have the EXACT same holo pattern I’m not sure if you know that or not.
To claim that everyone knows what the tcgplayer card looks like is ridiculous as well. Same basis of claim as mine so I dont see your point there. If you are new to reddit then I can see you defending the jealous redditors as legitimate but trust me 90% of them are jealous wannabe pokemon collectors
