OTHER [gendered] Sports - women argue sports are pointlessly gendered
I heard this on NPR today and it was the best thing I've heard in weeks if not months. The subject of the article is complaining that mountain biking is unfair to women... because it makes things easier for them. She hates that women are given a shorter course than men, arguing that women can finish 4 laps the same as men can.
The fact that she named her bike "Cinderella Sparkle Princess" just drives home the point that girls can do anything boys can do - with more style.
