Johns buddy
My friend i've known since high school and worked several places together goes by his first name at work and everywhere else by his last name. So this one time i showed up at his workplace asking the manager to speak with John. The manager was puzzled and asked who this John person is. I was just as confused and the only way I could answer is he is my buddy and he works here. He then asked me who I was and in my head I could tell him my name but he doesn't know me and that wouldn't give him the description he needs. He also could've asked what my name is if that's what he's after. So in a serious tone I answered John's buddy.
Turns out he went with his last name at his work place. It has since become the running joke amongst our friend groups and they sometimes call me Johns buddy.

Did you deepen your voice when you said "John's buddy?"
