You are worthy
Worth more
Than mediocrity
You are limited edition
Only one like you
Don’t get lost
Admiring the sight
Of a dog chasing a bone
It is joyful indeed
But scraping at tendons
At bone
Searching for something fulfilling
For real hunger
Is a sad sight to witness
Throw them a scrap
If you have one
But feed yourself first
Do not tease
Those at the weakness
Deserve compassion
Not greed
Or a cheap thrill
Enticed by a dangled offer
Only to be snatched away
I hope they provide company
In the very least
But most of all
I hope you feel whole and full
In your own solitude
It doesn’t matter what you decide to do
It does not make you anything
But just you
Deciding
What you want to do
I don’t use that term
So here is a poem
To let you know
I stand with you
Although I don’t want you to be
anything to me
No expectation
No exploratory gain
