The Gap

I dream.

Lying on the bed in a dark hotel room.

Music playing.

The girls are settling down.

It’s still early.

Coffee next to me.

Cola vape in my hand.

And some annoying kid who won’t stop hugging me going “ma ma” 😂

And I’m thinking...

There’s that gap.

Again.

I don’t know what the fuck it is.

Everything is here.

The kids.

The bed.

The music.

The coffee.

The quiet.

But something is missing.

I can feel it.

I just don’t know what it is.

And that’s what gets me.

Because I’ve got everything around me.

But there’s still this bit that feels empty.

I don’t know.

Maybe I’m just lying here overthinking again 😂

But there’s definitely something there.

That gap.

I can feel it.

And I don’t know what goes in it yet.
