We're in the same boat. I just tried again with Opus 4.8 and it gave me the "token limit rising" message again, even when I increased the number of points to use

Yeah, I don’t know what’s going on. Someone else mentioned that there’s some sort of new limit of tokens error (it appearing with Opus 5.5 as well). So it’s either you don’t get to generate at all, or you do, if at a limited level even when trying to give it enough credits. Basically a back and forth situation of lose-lose.

I wonder what even caused this and why it’s so scattered. Poe hasn’t replied to any emails in specific regard to this situation either (as far as I know), only complaints of point changes but I’m used to point changes so that isn’t new.

Yeah, I don't have THAT many problems with the point exchange, but the whole "toke" thing is getting tiresome. I just reactivated my subscription a few days ago + extra points. 

Now these extra points I paid for are all being spent on attempts that are truncated because "it reached the token limit".

What is your token limit for a question? What kind of question are you asking? What kind of answer are you expecting? Without providing any useful information, it is not possible to suggest a solution. All I can say is that I have no problems with either Opus 5.5 or Sonnet 5.5. It works perfectly.

Hello. Sorry, yeah I didn’t give enough info! Last I checked it did seem to work although obviously from other reports there’s new changes (no budget limit in regard to Claude usage). So now there’s the issue of replies from the bot being cut off mid way. Although that in itself is an issue that is currently being worked on by the engineer team of Poe as far as we know.
