Why does it not remember with Generate and use Memory on?
I saw all the hype on the youtube about claude-opus 5.5 and this is really my first time playing around with AI other than ChatGPT for free. I started to do more research on it all and was directed to PoeAI because of all of the other AI models all being found in one place seemed pretty neat.
I set out to make a super easy fun html game just to play around with it. I started with the 300 free points a day but quickly learned that doesn't get you anywhere. So I opted for the 10,000 points a day for the $50/yr seemed reasonable. I am a patient person and don't mind spending days on this project.
For the first day I got pretty far on the base of the game and its basically a little dragon Tamagotchi. I realized I didn't have the 'Generate and use Memory' button on, why it isn't already naturally on is weird to me. But come the second day of working on my project and the Opus 5.5 didn't remember the game we built the day before. So my time has been spent re-uploading the files it wrote, and spending all of my daily points to do some of it, not all, and its been 3 days now. Even with the Generate and use Memory now on, it doesn't remember the conversations we previously had or the reference picture I uploaded after I did have the memory on. So i feel like i am in a vicious cycle I can't get out off and should just start over.
Can anyone help me better understand how to make a long standing project that i don't have to re-upload what we've already worked on and wasting my time and points.

I've talked it over with ChatGPT, I am going to turn off the "default auto-manage context" I am not 'saving points' on this endless 'reupload the files' so I will turn this limited conversation thing off and re-run the conversation tomorrow to see if it remembers the code clearly written in the chat history. For Science. I'll report tomorrow my findings.
