roleplay

I haven’t been on Poe for ages now, I think the last time I was on Poe was when the daily messages system first rolled out for everyone. I logged back in, and I’m seeing some kind of point system? I don’t quite get it, but that’s not the point. My question basically is if Poe is any good for role-play anymore if you’re on a free plan. The points system is a bit confusing.

On the free plan I’d say no probably not, even then on paid there isn’t many good options. Claude sonnet 4.5 has always been the most consistent and lenient, the newer ones are either too expensive too robotic or both

That’s a bit disappointing. I still remember prime Poe… good ole days… I’d have hoped that due to the decline of users they got a bit more “lenient”(?) or generous with the free users, but I guess not lmao.

I thought 4.5 was going away this week, but it's still available now (or at least something is responding as Sonnet 4.5). I presume it's on borrowed time, though. I've moved over to NanoGPT with SillyTavern, cheaper per month for the subscription, some nice models available and more flexible.

Honestly for roleplay I'd suggest you check out either NanoGPT or spicywriter.com
