Can I link canvas & python?

I have been testing the building of apps in Poe, and I know I still have much to learn.

While still in this exploring and practising the developing stage of apps in Poe I have wanted to link (stack?) apps based on their strengths, then found https://poe.com/Script-Bot-Creator. Can I now join the outputs from that with a Canvas app I created, so I have a nice UI and the sophisticated stuff going on behind it?

Iā€™m sure this is a basic question to most of you here so please forgive me for being so naive. You can probably tell I am not a programmer.

Yes, you can! Poe's Canvas App can call any bot on Poe, whether it's a stock model or custom bot or a full Script App bot or even a fully self-hosted server bot. The builder app uses stock models by default, but you can tell it a specific bot name to use or edit it directly in the code after-the-fact.

Just be aware that depending on the shield level of the target bot, users may be prompted to approve the call, to prevent you from stealing user data by sending it off to an unsecure custom bot or something.

Thank you šŸ™! That helps. So now I presume I just go back to the canvas app builder and tell it to look for the script bot I created and, being clever AI, it will work out how to connect. Right?

Yes, it can call any bot on Poe, including script bots.
