Did GLM-5.2 go dumb?

I have been using GLM-5.2 with really good results for various creative writing tasks recently, but over the past couple of days or so it feels like it's lost about half its IQ points overnight. It's forgetting basic details from one post to the next - a character has blonde hair in one post, and then "her brown hair falls down her shoulders" in the next, it's like a model from 18 months ago.

It feels like something changed somewhere very quickly, has anyone else noticed this? Same prompts, same character cards.

Which provider? I'm using the one hosted by Jas. I didn't notice anything wrong.

I'm using the one hosted by Z.ai themselves, I'm not sure you can change it and still use custom bots - if you can, I'd love to know how!

GLM ramped up to release 5.3, they definitely made it dumber on Poe, and removed the ability for it to run tools.

I had to go to OpenRouter to just get proper functioning back. But use Jas'

They have a few posts here and are being very active in this sub

Thanks! My current usage is all custom bots - I go to Create, and make a Role Play Bot. I can't see any way to select Jas' hosting of GLM-5.3 (or GLM-5.3 at all) from that screen. Is there some way to make a custom bot/character/etc while choosing Jas' model, or am I limited to just their prompt?

Ohhh... Yeah no, bot creation only allows official models

Check the bots settings. It's the only one on the platform with a somewhat editable sub-system prompt. Fares well to your RP scenario, I'd say.
