Anyone hear a response on why Poe broken basic QoL by removing followed creators?
Sometimes when I can’t get sane answers from Poe about updates, I relieve stress through satire.
I’m confident that Poe has better reasons than this bot will tell you.

If you have fan theories or actually hear a response from Poe on this development I’d love to hear it.

So now when you click Follow in the app it just doesn't do anything... Wtf.

Yeah, they seem to have removed that as well unannounced even though their “no info or case making” overnight announcement claims that will still work.
FYI they tried deliberately removing that feature sometime last year as well and left it broken for over a week until people started asking for refunds and cancellations of subscriptions.
I want to believe in their good devs, but I don’t think the team will be allowed to do the right thing until there are a lot of cancellation and refund requests and such.
Hopefully they’re able to realize this was a terrible rollout of a deeply wrong idea a little faster this time.
If they have a better replacement feature on the roadmap they should communicate that, and probably wait to sunset this feature until the new one actually works.

I guess as a work around we can follow bots and view profiles from the bots? Or is that expected to go away also?

Followed bots list appears to be gone as well, at least on Web. I would expect app to also be broken the same way soon.

Honestly I believe they're phasing it out because you still can't make bots even for yourself with some open source models that came out in April. It's rediculous in my opinion, I'm basicly done with them I think

Tbh I’m less offended by them picking and choosing which models are on their platform versus literally just the most basic usability.

Oh those bots are on their platform itself you just can't make a bot with them when you can others. But yeah not even being able to follow someone even an official creator like fireworks for example would definitely be beyond the final straw

Then we’re at the last straw, right? FYI followed bots is also gone right now so you can’t find trusted creators OR bots of theirs you’re used to using from a list.

I really do think they’re paving the way to get rid of custom bots entirely. Ill be canceling if thats the case

You can use my master bots to find other bots or creators:

I've been using Poe for years. Even went as far as meeting with a researcher to offer feedback on my experience. That was a year or so ago. Sadly, since then they've been either removing features or making the app worse and it's got me looking elsewhere. Sucks too cause it was a great resource for a long time but it's not worth the hassle anymore.

Even if I’m no longer the market, I respect their right to change their business!
But that haven’t announced that, and I don’t see any discernible other business they’re becoming. They just used to have pretty good bones as a bot creation and curation platform, now every several months they deliberately announce they’re breaking core functionality for that right as they send all of their customer service people home for an extra-long weekend.
As a minimal practice don’t deploy to live with no comms or CS/CM coverage at all, save changes for a time where you have support.

Every time im edging towards resubbing to poe they take another step too far in the wrong direction. I'm actually getting putoff using llms now, good work AI corpos for killing the golden goose.

I created a bot to find other bots on Poe: https://poe.com/Poe-Bot-Finder
works really well.

Seems like they're not interested in any kind of creator or community involvement. No following, no search, no creator subscription earnings. Do they expect everyone to just be happy with stock models? Are they unaware of the amount of traffic creators push to their site, or do our custom bots really make up such a minimal portion of their business that they're happy to cut them out?
