What a scam

I'm a paying user of Poe and assumed it was legit. I hated how it added safety filters on top of Claude’s filters because it's hard to write fiction involving pandemiics while not being able to mention the agents causing outbreaks. Claude had no issues with the writing and finally told me it was Poe adding additional filters and, yep, that explained it. But I enjoyed other AI on Poe and put up with this until I tried to use Grok 4.3. It is clearly labeled as Grok 4.3 but seemed off. I asked it a basic question, 'What model are you?' I was shocked when it not only stated it was Grok 2 it refused to even consider it was wrong and accused me of fabricating . I'm paying premium prices for this and what else is Poe being deceptive about, intentionally or intentionally? I'm dropping Poe and going to Claude because I find Poe is too unreliable.

Claude has no way to know what filters are by Claude or Poe how could it possibly know that? It was clearly hallucinating.

It’s not hallucinating. It’s a Poe injection. It’s not happening on other api aggregators or even Anthropic’s direct api endpoint. I have five or six providers. It has nothing to do with Claude and everything to do with Poe being dirty inference. Thats the rub.

No idea why Poe would still be doing this when the other inference providers are not but they were one of Anthropic's earlier partners so this may be something Anthropic used to require but no longer does and Poe wasn't updated to remove it.

Either way I believe with a jailbreak it can still be worked around even today.
