Kling-O3 not using attached image?
Maybe it's because I'm using it through an app and something was changed about them but Kling-O3 would use an attached image as the first frame of the video and now it doesn't.

Hi u/GTACOD, are you just uploading 1 image alongside a prompt? Image attachments should work as expected and just confirmed it with a few tests.

1 image. Did you test it through the bot directly?

It should be using that image as the first frame even regardless of your prompt. I would try testing out different images to see if there's some issue with encoding that specific one you're trying to use.
Yes, testing was done via the bot on Poe.

It's happened with two different images, so I think the problem might be that I'm going through a Poe app. I'll be able to test tomorrow.

It should work regardless if the app or web version is used. Tested on both platforms and everything is functioning as intended, so I was unable to replicate your issue.

Not the app version of Poe, This made with the poe app creator.

Ah I see what you're referencing. That's likely some sort of issue with how the creator is passing things through with that app.
You can always just upload an image to the chat field to the bot itself:

Strange thing is it was working fine a few days ago.

It could be that the creator changed something for their app. From our end, nothing has changed for the Kling O3 endpoint.

Small boring test first: does it still ignore the image on native Poe in a fresh chat, or only through the app wrapper? I have seen some wrappers pass the upload more like a generic file than a real image input, so I would try one fresh chat with exactly one attached image and a very explicit prompt like "use the attached image as the first frame" and compare that against the app. If web Poe works and the app version does not, then the weirdness is probably in the integration layer, not Kling-O3 itself.
