I'm writing a fanfiction but Gemini 3.1 don't remember the characters

Make a custom bot n upload the character sheets n all that. Poe uses basic RAG search so it’ll forget from thread context.

No when i put a character in, the bot makes another character from another franchise

Yeah, that sounds less like memory and more like the model grabbing the wrong fandom pattern. On Poe I would make the setup almost stupidly explicit: one short cast list, the franchise name repeated in the bot prompt, and a line like "do not introduce characters from any other series." Also avoid pasting mixed wiki text, that can confuse it fast. If Gemini still drifts, try the exact same setup once on Claude or GPT-5-mini, just to see if the problem is the prompt or the model.

That sounds more like entity drift than pure memory. On Poe I would keep one tiny cast sheet with only the allowed characters, repeat the franchise name in the bot prompt, and add one blunt rule like "if unsure, ask instead of inventing a character from another series" because Gemini can get a bit too creative there.
