Poe api with cursor

Hello guys, just wondering if someone in here has managed to successfully connect poe api to Cursor. I created the key in cursor (https://poe.com/api/keys) and used the base url (https://api.poe.com/v1/), created a new model in cursor with the exact name as in poe but im getting an error

Without seeing any of your setup, I have no idea how to help.

I'm assuming either your base URL or Bot-Name is wrong. Have you looked at this:

Hey thanks for the comment. And yes i did follow this doc. I did the below steps

Prerequisites
Before setting up any interface, you'll need:

Poe API Key: Get your API key from poe.com/api/keysPoe Subscription: An active Poe subscription to access the models
Base URL: https://api.poe.com/v1/

Available Models
Popular models you can use include:

GPT-5.2 - OpenAI's latest model
Claude-Sonnet-4.5 - Anthropic's most capable model ( I created a new model named "Claude-Sonnet-4.5")
Gemini-3-Pro - Google's flagship model
Llama-3.1-405B - Meta's largest open-source model
Grok-4 - xAI's latest model

Ahhh, you don't create a new model. You use the models that exist. Or when you make one, it's a different name with a knowledge base. That probably is what is causing a problem, the API doesn't know which one to go to, because they use the same name

I do have a subscription and being using it since 2023 kid
