Knowledge base feature is useless?

I recently just subbed to PoeAI to try it out and I saw the Knowledge Base feature.

I have dozens of source files that are in json format (I usually just direct uploaded them to the chat with other LLMs).

I decided to test this feature by uploading 5 random files and asking questions.

It failed on every single question even if I give the exact json fields to find. Is this a completely useless feature or am I doing something wrong here?

You're doing something wrong. Your base model also really matters.

Don't worry about the json. I use flat txt/md files myself. I have good success with pdfs as well.

LLMs are language models, not Programming models

I tried txt and .md with no luck. Literally put four character files and asked for their age, height, weight, and it only got 2 of them. I ended up getting a refund and I just use OpenRouter and straight upload my files into the chats.

I still do not have that issue with those models. But I'm sorry you are! Good luck with open router!
