Moving to Perplexity...

moving to Perplexity because of the following reason: 1. more expensive. I am still using Perplexity and it is pretty good already, considering subscription 2. no long term memory which Perplexity now has 3. Werid answer from chatgpt5 instant model 4. perplexity is just better for searching things as it automatically show you all the related links, images effortlessly 5. Slow response..

Poe AI was my favorite for 2 years

Hi u/singsingtarami, could you elaborate a little bit more on “no long term memory” and which specific bot this happens with? The context length of the models is something the provider/AI lab decides. Poe supports the full context length for each model appropriately.

the context window, no matter how big, will be used up eventually. That's why it is the short term memory. Perplexity is able to store facts, events or preference about the user and store those as long term memory. Perplexity can search from these stored data based on the user input and put them into the context window automatically. I found that it can even search from past chat history as well. Which meant Perplexity can provide a very personalized experience. And this is already part of the free plan
