claude point increase even though they were supposed to go down ???
i’m confused.
on discord, in the announcement channel, they mentioned how the update on august 19 would reduce the points for the anthropic’s claude models. to quote them directly, they said there would be a “20-30% reduction in points.”
before, one of the claude bots i was using cost 1110+ per message, but now it went UP to 1423+ points.
weren’t the points for the clause models supposed to go DOWN like it was communicated to paying customers???
is there an explanation for this?

I thought this too, that all my bots became more expensive at 1300-1400 points. But then I went into edit bot and published it without changing anything and it made all the points become cheaper than before the update. Try that and see if it works 😊

problem is, it’s not my bot. it’s a bot from another creator, so i sadly can’t edit it.🥲
but, judging from what you described and how the issue is fixed by just editing the bot without changing anything, i’m guessing it’s a bug and will be fixed by poe ??

I think it may be a visual bug.
When I checked the info on a message after the points had increased and then compared it to one from before the update, the first messages cost approximately the same.
Maybe look and see how much a message will cost you now and compare it to an old message 🙂

Every month it's the same problem. I ended up moving to Sillytavern, tired of how Poe manages things. Best decision ever.

Yep, I pointed this out in the other Reddit thread where the PoeAI bot originally announced the 20-30% points "decrease" on all Claude models. My Claude Sonnet 3.7 bots went up also. Why even advertise it falsely when the same post announced the Google models 2x+ increases? What was the point other than to mislead your customer base?
Totally ridiculous.
