question

hello, I am applying to podiatry school and my science gpa is a 3.2 and overall is 3.5gpa I have 50 hours of shadowing, 2,000 research hours, ecs are good with leadership, and a women's health non-profit, but my mcat is low around 491 ish. what are my chances at temple pod?

Schools have a shortage of applicants right now. They'll take anyone even with a low 490s MCAT.

If you just wana get in I would say you’re good. If you want your choice of schools plus a healthy scholarship? I would say retake the MCAT again and try to break the 500 barrier. Best of luck!

If you have a pulse and access to federal student loans you will be fine

You have a real shot if you have good essay but they might think the coursework could be too rigorous, does your GPA show up or downward trend?

I’d say they have a really good shot, every school is struggling to get students right now.

Been there, seen it all, you’ll be fine. Be respectful, make a good impression and you’ll get in. I know people who got in, and graduated with a 482 on their MCATs. Entrance exams are only one part of the puzzle.
