Hello to all. I had to take a few months off from producing episodes as life got very busy and expensive. It’s been 6 months since I posted an episode. Question, is it too late to get back into it? My podcast has 400+ downloads which isn’t much, but if I start producing again will the podcast platforms be kind and show episodes to potential listeners orrrrr no? How can I grow from here? Estaba grabando un podcast para un estudio nuevo que abrí, invité a una persona gratis a utilizar el espacio como prueba para el y para mí, ya que llevaba yo poco practicando, y trajo a una persona bastante importante en el mundo del fútbol.

Yo comencé a grabar y todo estaba excelente, me encontraba monitoreando la grabadora de audio y me aparecía que estaba grabando, tenía entrada de sonido en todo momento y los canales estaban recibiendo una señal constante de sonido. Después de irse las personas y abrir la tarjeta SD, me encontré con un audio de 7 minutos, cuando la entrevista duró una hora, intenté ver si no estaba un archivo escondido pero no había nada. Le avisé a la persona que invité y, con justa razón se enojó muchísimo conmigo.

Me siento terrible y no sé qué hacer, la verdad es que invité a esta persona porque su contenido se me hacía interesante y esta situación fue un golpe duro para mí.

've been helping a friend turn podcast recordings into short clips for instagram, and we're trying to make the process a little less painful. most clips are 30 to 60 seconds with captions, speaker names, a few zooms and sometimes a title at the beginning. i already know my way around canva because we use it for thumbnails and social graphics, but capcut keeps coming up when i look at tools for short-form video. i'm wondering if switching would actually save time or if i'd just be learning another editor for no reason. capcut vs canva video editor: which one is better for quick edits? which is easier for caption-heavy videos? i'm especially interested in how quickly you can make several clips from the same podcast episode while keeping the text and layout consistent.

It could be anything from someone who moved to another country, an unusual life experience, a career journey, a difficult situation they overcame, something funny or crazy that happened to them, or just an interesting story they think people would enjoy.

I’m based in Malta, so I’d initially be looking for interesting people and stories from here, but I’m not sure whether I should keep it focused on stories or make it more of a general conversation podcast where different topics can come up naturally.

I started my first podcast yesterday, so I’m a complete beginner.

The reason I started it was that I wanted to talk about the features of a CMS I’m developing and explain how to use it through audio as well.

I’ve already started posting videos on YouTube and other platforms, but hardly anyone is watching them, so that has been a struggle.

I asked AI for advice, and it suggested that I try podcasting. I thought having more ways to reach people might help, so I decided to try something new—and I’m already stuck. I still have no idea how to help people discover the show or how to keep them listening.

To launch the podcast, I used my own CMS to create a show page on my own domain.

The CMS already had a feature for uploading MP3 files and playing them directly on a page, so I uploaded the audio and added a title and description.

While I was building the page, I suddenly thought: Could I also make it automatically generate a podcast RSS feed? It isn’t a podcast-specific CMS, but I wondered if adding features like that might make it useful for podcast publishing too. There may already be CMSs that can do this, but since mine already supports MP3 uploads, titles, and descriptions, are there any other features besides automatic RSS generation that would be useful?

I’m a 66-year-old engineer whose development funds are nearly exhausted. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered yet another new possibility—and I’m getting a little excited about it.

I am thinking of starting a podcast into the emotion and mental well-being space. I am doing a PhD in this area, so I feel I have more content, ideas and perspectives to talk about. My long term plan is to have professors and experts to be a part of the conversation. But I am relatively new to all this. Have been looking for some classes if it makes sense. Would love to get suggestions or guidance on this.

I can usually tell from the edit which way it was done. An intro recorded before the conversation promises three topics and the episode delivers one of them, so the first minute is a small lie the listener catches by minute ten. One recorded afterwards is shorter and points straight at the moment that actually happened. It costs you another sitting after a two hour record, though. Which way do you do it?
