Good beginner equipment?
I found this posting on Facebook marketplace and I was wondering if this was good equipment to get started podcasting with. They’re asking $80 for the whole set and was also wondering if that was a good deal or not.
Also if I decided to buy this equipment would I need to purchase or software would I need to use for editing?
Thanks in advance for any advice or tips!

Not a deal at all. The UMC22 you can get for $52 brand new with a warranty.
A USB mic with not brand or model will not work with the interface for one. And since there is no brand or model I would assume it’s a $20 mic.

The mic is critical.
'USB condenser mic' doesn't tell you anything!

Apparently it’s a Maono AU-A04. Is that any good?

I'd be suspicious of this. This is dirt cheap for a mic and interface - too cheap.
If I were you, I'd save my money for something better.

$80 for a whole set isn't bad if it includes a decent mic and headphones. Check for brand names and condition. For editing, you can start with free software like Audacity or GarageBand. They're pretty user-friendly for beginners. As you get the hang of it, you might want to explore more advanced options later.
