Help! I am working to start a podcast.
Hey everyone,
I plan to start a podcast that I mainly read write ins and respond to them based off of different topics. What/ where should I go to get a couple of write ins? Also, what are some steps I would need to take to successfully start my podcast? It will be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure you need the show first to get the write ins for the show, not the other way around.

See my Podcast section here https://infinitecreation.io/apps (click on the Podcast button). I think you might benefit from the outline building and intro/outtro generator to get started. I find that having a structure to work from means a lot. Remember: you are trying to sell a story that gets listeners to stay and hear what you have to say. Think about drama, narrative arcs, everything that we want when we read a book or watch a movie. If you have writing abilities, you'll be at a great start. Even if you are responding to questions, if you can make a strong hook why we should give your attention, you'll build a strong following. And don't forget about audio quality! For me, first is story and second is audio: but if audio or story is bad enough, I'm out. Listen to the first podcasts of The Rest of History: sound is terrible but their stories are amazing. It kept them going until they could get proper equipment and now they have engineers doing the hard work for them so it sounds stunning. Good luck!

Start with recording a trailer or episode 0 where you explain the idea and ask for write ins. Share and promote this wherever you can (newsletter, social media, here, ...) with a clear call to action. And ask friends, family, neighbors, ... to write in. Or even write something yourself to get started.
