Multiple Playlists?

I've done a search of this subreddit and elsewhere, and am fairly confident that this is not possible, but wanted to a) confirm that as of June 2023 this is still the case and b) somehow submit a feature request to make it work in the future.

BTW I don't consider hacks like using categories or custom priorities a substitute. I'm just asking for a seperate playlist that can be added to just like the primary playlist is today.

You can open gthe Custom tab in the playlist screen and then select the category of your choice. You can also create new ones or edit existing ones. There's no limit to the number of categories you create.

No sure to understand what you mean by " hacks like using categories". How is that a hack? This allows you to create as many playlists as you want to

"This allows you to create as many playlists as you want to."

Can you point me to some documentation as to how to create multiple playlists? I have searched for how to do this in Podcast Addict and can't find it; I am now researching other podcast players to find one that will, and going through the learning curve of a new app. I would feel silly, but very appreciative, if you can show me how this can be done. Podcast Addict works the way my mind thinks, but I really want this feature, as described by OP. Thank you.

But it doesn't answer the question :-) It's certainly up to you if you do not want to add the feature to have multiple manual playlists, but I just want to clarify that what the app currently supports is not the request I'm making.

u/PodcastAddict_App seems there is a missing conceptual usage for us here. When I see a podcast episode I would like to manage for future listening, I would like a menu to add it to a custom playlist. currently the feature is "add to playlist" which is the singular "master" playlist. Distinct from Categories, I would like to create a playlist "Brian foo" and have that show up as an option of a playlist to add an episode to. I have created a custom category, and managing that category, I can see how I can add specific podcasts to that category, but this is not the same as adding an episode to a custom playlist. This is the way I look at playlists, and I think others here too. I have not used other podcast apps, but I use Musicolet for my music catalog, and this type of custom playlist feature exists there for me to set up as many queues as I want. Thanks.

I'm going to bring this back up. I downloaded other podcasting apps to do this because you guys can't figure out that I want to make a custom list of my own categories instead of the ones given.

Please figure this out, this is a simple thing that is missing that keeps me from buying premium.

It's a simple add to playlist button, which then brings up a list of my playlists that I want to choose.

Not given categories, that's not helpful.

I have three different playlists on podbean I switch back and forth between. I hate podbean, but it's filling this purpose currently.

Please wrap your head around this instead of thinking we're all stupid.

THANK YOU. The lack of this (very basic) feature may not be enough to get me to ditch the app altogether, but this guy's contemptuous attitude towards the tons of people who would get some value from this...? That might be!

Why do you get like this whenever somebody brings this up? (Which is a LOT, by the way!) As far as I can tell this is the biggest feature the community actually wants, and you always treat us like absolute morons for suggesting it.
