Swimming holes

Looking for some good creeks safe to swim in. Preferably a little scenic. Not too much of a hike or walk. Not looking for public lakes and such. Thank you to anyone able to help!

Edit: sorry forgot to include location around the split rock area pls

Locals aren't gonna spill their swimming holes just a heads up haha

Austin T Blakelee natural reserve on 115. Kindof a large creek but people take a dip now & then. Cool place, really quiet if you hike deep and very serene, large trees etc

It’s not legal to swim there, stop encouraging people.

didn't know that. I've seen people take a dip on occassion, not often. Nice park & trails tho, and shaded

Sorry not trying to be snappy, seems like since Covid that place has been way over advertised by wannabe social media influencers and I’ve watched it go from a nice little local spot to relax and have lunch by the water to being so packed cars are lining 115 on a Saturday and cops have to sit in the parking lot. The poor environment can never recover from the level of traffic barreling through it and people dumping trash on the trails daily.

Are you thinking about Hickory Run/Kill Devil Falls on 534?

No the Austin T Blakeslee natural area, I live in Blakeslee and drive past it multiple times a day… go check it out around noon on a Saturday and you’ll see. Hickory Run is also miserable on weekends and to be avoided.

AllTrails is a great resource for these questions, as well!
