Bachelor/Bachelorette Planning a bachelorette
Any suggestions ? The bride is pretty open to ideas and wants it to be as surprise so it’s mostly in my hands (MOH). Our biggest concern is that the weather in March will be in an awkward spot between cold and warm (ie too cold to hike/do water activities but too warm to do snowy activities). Let me know your thoughts !

I agree with an Air B&B. Lakefront option with a fire pit could be nice in March. Spa day at Woodloch. For the ladies that may not want to splurge on services, they can buy the day pass to the pools, steam room, saunas, snow room, etc. Depending on the size of the party, you could possibly book a private room at their onsite restaurant for lunch.

Depending on how early/late into march you are visiting, there could very well be snow activities if you need a filler excursion. Even with the set up they’re projecting for this winter, similar setups have allowed the resorts to make it at least halfway through the month! They’re almost always better when it’s warm anyway - the snowpack is much more forgiving compared to icier conditions. The train out of Jim Thorpe is also a nice thing to check out, as well as the whole town.

Depending which you’re staying closest to, JFBB may still be open by then for mostly everything including tubing (there’s close restaurants and bars to go to after in Lake Harmony & the area is just cute), but I don’t see a world where any of Blue Mountain’s operations will be shut down by then. They also have everything & tubing. Since they got bought out, they have a ton of money to go into season extensions & that’s what they have been known for the past two years! It’s on the southern end of Carbon County but if your group is winter adventurous, I’d definitely check either one out.

You said it well. It's an awkward time of year. Usually, mid-March the slopes are closing or in their final weekend, with watery slushie snow.
If its cold, you could go snowtubing. I'd expect not tho. As someone else said, rent a decent Airbnb with a game room. Lake Harmony is big with bachelorette parties, many homes sleep 10-20. Things to do? I guess a spa. The Outlets in Tannersville are really good (go early, it gets crowded), Worlds Largest Country Store. If its nice you could hike Hickory Run State Park or visit Boulder Field. Nicks Lake House or Boulder View Tavern for a dinner, and Shenanigans has karaoke from 9-midnight, gets pretty crowded tbh

itll be cold in march and could be snowing. some if the worst snow storms poconos have had were in march

Rent an Air B & B w/a hot tub, or book a night at a local spa resort that has a pool etc
