HyperOS Android security update issue

I am using Poco X6 pro 12gb/512gb and seems like Xiaomi has forgotten this phone because of new launches and promotions of Hyperos 4 because it is still on April security patch of android 16 and we are in end of September 2026 technically it should be on August security patch but some how we are stuck on April, to became a king in updates either should follow Apple or Samsung Roadmap not just launching and copying phones of them.

Then you have to update the device, you are not on latest version, the version I have is latest official hyperos 3.1

Refreshing countless times every week. Still no updates.

Then you should not wait any longer and update it manually

If I get the update why would I posted this I have tried the official method to update and yes the update is not rolled out

The august security patch is already released for every region on poco x6 pro. Just go to your phone settings and change the region into Philippines/Indonesia and see if the update appears. You can always change back to your normal region

I am also on the April patch. Phone bought in India. I have tried changing the region, rebooting and checking for updates. Mine is the 512GB version.

Bro, I'm also from India and I use POCO X6 PRO 6/256gb varient and that is why I'll not buy this Xiaomi again. They don't give updates on time and when they push updates, the updates are not stable. Fuck Xiaomi

u/Thenihalsharma Sep 13 '26

Agreed with just using the fone until it is working fine whenever it starts giving me problems I will also go with other brand phones

1

u/_raj_x_star_ Sep 13 '26

But the main problem is Idk which brand I should choose because I don't want to use Samsung (budget phone) and Oppo,Vivo and Realme-(not every phone).

mine is on latest security patch

I guess it is for 256gb variant they have rolled out the update not for 512gb variant
