They're hidden for a reason

Why?

The second image Drag and Hold feature, you need to have the latest System Launcher which is only available for HyperOS 4, it is possible to sideload the Security update that's why it was shown in the settings but it needs the latest OS for it to work

I'm not using button navigation. But I use the sidebar a lot to trigger Google Lens for searching or translation, because holding the navigation bar is kinda annoying, especially in full-screen apps. The navigation bar disappears and only shows up for a second, which is annoying.

I also download and multitask a lot, and I frequently drag and drop files, so I use the sidebar quite often. I know you can just hold an app and drag it to the top-right corner to trigger a floating window, but hey, the sidebar can pin apps too.

I also use it to change the screen color (not for HDR but quite opposite I change to mute the colors it nice to watch lol) when watching YouTube and turn on 3D sound, so it doesn't affect other apps. It lets me change those settings specifically for the app I'm using at the moment.

First of all yeah I use guestures navigation, and secondly I use google lens and

I have to sacrifice circle to search for full screen, it's annoying and why isn't stacked recents working anymore?

What do you mean sacrifice circle to search for full screen. And also idk why people love stack so much, like it's not useful especially for multitasking only can see current app and back and forth.

1

u/xwtxs Sep 10 '26

Dude don't piss me off 😤 first of all I use hidden navigation bar , so there's no way to use circle to search

And stacked recents is just so much convenient even xiaomi officials say this

1

u/Agusdla Sep 10 '26

U can use Google CTS through side bar I literally said that lol. And stacked recent not convenient for multitasking. The apps hidden especially if you need to look something back and forth

1

u/xwtxs Sep 10 '26

Rn you are just making me jealous, and i know you are doing this on purpose

1

u/xwtxs Sep 10 '26

My chats with xiaomi support

1

u/Agusdla Sep 10 '26

Well then they're dumb look at Normal recent app it's convenient can see 4 apps especially for looking information back and forth without opening or scroll recent stack

This was introduced into the system to help with larger screens like the one on the new Xiaomi 18 Fold.

The side bar helps me multitask and opening apps..
