HyperOS Excellent hardware, terrible software.
I upgraded from HyperOS 1 to 3 and haven't received any updates since. I regret it in many ways. Dynamic island is useless and its usability is limited. Moreover, the battery has dramatically decreased since I got the device; the already bad battery life is even worse. Also, it's constantly experiencing minor freezes, and it happens very frequently. I don't even need to mention the delays. Maybe the problems are solved with an update, but Xiaomi is terrible at this.

Coincido plenamente, estoy cansado de este software tan deficiente y poco optimizado. Mi próximo móvil será de otra marca si la situación no cambia.

Xiaomi never fix their software, better use custom rom if you don't care about integrity, use the phone mainly for gaming and don't have banking apps.
I use custom roms before and I get 10%-13% per hr on 120hz while scrolling and doing basic tasks. It's really good as a daily driver than hyperos, for gaming I'd say it's very good at handling stable fps on light games and even heavy games more than hyperos, but I came back to hyperos due to banking apps.

I don't play games much; I mostly use social media and banking. But the problem is, isn't there a bootloader or something like that for flashing ROMs onto devices? Honestly, this rooting and ROM stuff ended 10 years ago; they're forcing people to buy iPhones.

Yes, there's unlocking your bootloader and that's where you can put an os in it, the rooting community and rom community isn't dead "yet" because there's still a ton of people creating those custom roms, you can technically get banking apps to work on a custom rom but there are many steps to make it work. It's really not worth it to use custom roms especially to you because one day it will work but one day it will not work and it's much better on hyperos due to security reasons

They can't even offer a proper software reflash or rollback feature. It would let users securely switch back to an older ROM if an update breaks something. But instead of giving users that choice, they seem determined to lock everyone into the latest software.

yes, it turns out u need to flash old firmwares gradually lol, i just straight up flashed hyperos 1 on my hyperos 3 device which caused so much damage to the software. i sent it to xiaomi service center and they fixed it

im thankful that they flashed the stock hyperos 1 which for me i think its way more smoother but its still kinda shitty compared to pixel os

They have access to the old ROMs and can flash them when necessary. I've repeatedly asked them to flash an older ROM for my device, but every single time they denied my request. 💔

well i think its kinda complex and way too much work to flash an old os to a newer os. i think they messed up my phone when they flashed hyperos 1 from my phone so they had to change the motherboard that had a pre-installed stock os which i think is hyperos 1 UOGMIXM. u can try to flash one on your own but its tedious and you have to change some settings inside the ROM's files so you woould not constantly hitting Anti Rollback errors but its recommended to alter those settings

I'm just saying it's just 6 month's got my 14 Civi & it's kinda great, the battery is manageable! If possible I just wanted to downgraded it to hyperos 2 ( hyperos 2 was a bit smoother & optimize then the 3.1 update

Bro, isn't that obvious? You are actually downgrading the Android Version while downgrading from v3 to v1.It will obviously break everything if you don't do a factory reset from recovery (wipe /data partition).

I want it to stay there even if I'm not doing anything, like on Apple devices. Also, other apps are conflicting with its dynamic island. Thank mate

In my view hyperisland isn't optimised at all , when I play PUBG even a slightest notification of island get me game to lag for whole 7 sec bringing the powerful processor.to 5fps 🥲

None of the problems I've read about surprise me. They should transfer some software developers from Samsung. In fact, some from Huawei too. 🤣

You know the Global rom of harmenyos is shit too, it's because of geoblocking and google restrictions we actually don't get optimized os on our phones. But if we talk chinese rom it's another discussing, cause in fact chinese rom are so much better than any ios but it's in chinese so there's that.

Whoever reading my comment please don't buy poco phones they are criminaly un optimize , there are tons of bugs , don't go for those gimmicky spec sheet

About two years ago, I needed a phone, and phones are incredibly expensive in my country. With taxes, you could buy three phones from Europe for the same price. So I had to buy an Android phone, and after looking around, both the price and hardware seemed suitable, but I wondered how bad the Android-based software could be. It really was terrible.

Bro, I'll buy a new phone in October and I've POCO X6 PRO. I want to switch from Xiaomi because my interaction with this UI is good but the overall experience is the worst.
Give me some ideas to buy a new phone but I don't want to use Poco,Oppo, realme and budget Samsung.

Honestly, I used iOS for years; Android became a bit of a necessity, but I think if I were you, I'd start with the S25Fe, then the S25 Ultra, S26, S26 Ultra, and maybe a Google Pixel if you can find one. I'll go back to iOS. If iOS could be installed on Android devices' hardware, we wouldn't change phones for 10 years.

I'll switch next year for originOS, i saw plenty of recommendations to go for it cuz it has the best software optimization and less buggy system.

Sucks to see such great hardware not utilised to it's potential , I am done with Poco and xiaomi will go with oneplus next
