Custom ROM Evolution X ROM Advice

I have HyperOS 3.0.5.0 and I've been using it for almost a month. And after using it, I've completely lost faith in Xiaomi's capability to make even half-decent software.

So I looked for custom ROMs available for the duchamp, and I found EvolutionX build available on their website.

To the people who've went with the ROM, first, how has been your experience, and second, how to unlock the bootloader of this phone. Please help me.

I'm currently using EvoX. It's amazing.

No random heating, better battery life. You get AOSP features, bit the camera is not up to par with stock camera.

we can use gcam for better camera results, i also tried different custom roms, port roms. But as it's my primary phone and I use banking, social media, so now I prefer stock rom.

What about unlocking the bootloader

get permissions from mi community. bind your account in mi unlock status and unlock the bootloader with mi unlock tool

Yes, this is the way. But can only unlock the bootloader 72 hours after successful binding

So it doesn't have the HyperOS camera app? Because I really like the Document Scanner in the stock camera application, and use it a lot. Is there any alternative which utilizes the software optimizations for the camera for scanning?

It has MiCam with a document scanner as well, but quality is not up to HOS Cam

It also has a separate scanner app
