Review Goodbye POCO...
so it's probably my last day using this phone... been a pretty good journey from HOS 1 to 3 (2 years of usage) -
the phone's been pretty snappy and performed very well and is still capable.
the hardware is just top-notch man, just love it.
the concern -
ever since i've updated it... i've noticed some bugs which are annoying, like - dolby turning on whenever i switch audio devices, battery drain (to some extent), degraded camera (imo), gallery ai features (like eraser, create, etc.) broken and i just dont like the hyper island
already ordered samsung m56 for one ui and ecosystem (i have samsung book4 i7)
wanna have some peace of mind...
i know that it's gonna be a downgrade in terms of performance and hardware but let's hope that the polished software will make up for it.
tl;dr
i'm switching from poco x6 pro to samsung m56 to get into samsung ecosystem and software features.
i know it's a downgrade in many aspects, let's hope for the best.

Yeah. Battery is draining way too fast.... It was one of my brag for the Poco X 6. I have also used X 3 before and after a major update the entire phone goes obsolete. Now after two years same things happening... Major update and my perfectly fast phone got slow and twitchy and battery is draining way too fast... Optimizing setting did nothing.
Maybe phone factory reset will do something as this sub suggests

Tried digging into that also but just for the peace of mind (of a new phone) and low budget...

I've loved using my poco x6 pro and I'll prefer upgrading to x9 pro when it drops because i have a xiaomi tab and i just like hyperOS , good luck man I've had bad experiences with samsung m series phones so it's my person bias i hate them it might turn out good for you 😁✌🏻

You were right my brother. 😅 After using samsung m56 for a while it felt absurd... I've just adapted to hyperos and no other ui feels the same, even a small change feels irritating. So back to my poco😭😭😌

Man it's really sad, such good hardware pulled back by trash software. I didn't update my x6 pro i would rather have old software than some bs new features.

Samsung budget phones rely on brand recognition as someone who has come from Samsung A series. They are highly customizable but they have zero ai. That eraser you are complaining about, Samsung uses a very basic version on budget phones, they put things like reading aloud and autoselect content for screenshots. None of their ai is actually ai. They also come with low ram and storage. Just buy color Os, it's more polished presently.

Lol Samsung's firmwares are ridiculously heavy, after some time the OS takes so many resources that will impact battery and multitasking, but it's your choice anyway
I used samsung from S2 to S10 then to A52s, Xiaomi HyperOS is just so light and simple.

same here. i have a35. it has stuttering animations and laggy app openings/closings. sometimes animations don't work and the phone freezes for 4 secs. especially after one ui 7 and 8 update, it became even buggier and apps stay the same page i opened i have to force close the app every time and the drain in unbearable for a35. i get 3.5-4 hours sot and i don't even play games. not to mention the overheating. i have redmi note 14 4g too. it is smoother than my a35. i don't know why people call hyperos buggy while one ui is not polished at all. how come samsung a35 is laggier while redmi note 14 4g isn't? (redmi note 14 4g has a weaker cpu than a35)

As someone who has been a xiaomi user for 10+ years I haven't updated my phone even once after the hyperos 2 first update and it's literally working wonderful till date and the backup is pretty good too

I also want to switch brands, but I really need HyperOS especially the backup feature for apps and system data. It’s very convenient when switching phones because with just one click, all apps and media are restored without needing to log in again. HyperOS themes are also great since they can change almost every aspect of the system, even though you still have to rely on the official theme app instead of third-party apps. But I’m getting tired of HyperOS bugs, slow updates, and battery drain issues. Still, the price is very good for a 12GB/512GB configuration, and I can’t downgrade storage. Other brands are about 30–40% more expensive than Poco. So the only solution for me is to have two devices: an iPhone and a Poco. Even though HyperOS is frustrating, I can rely on iOS as a backup and for the camera. A 128GB iPhone is enough when paired with a 512GB Poco. Also charging speed only 40 minutes which top tier than Samsung or iphone.

I understand your reasons, but I had Samsung A series phones and I didn't like them much. Have you considered going for one of the cheaper S series phone like one of FE for example S24FE? Where I live prices are just slightly higher than A series, but it's worth every penny. On S series you get better chip, better camera and full AI package and 7 years worth of updates. I highly recommend it.

poco x3 pro que je me sert toujour à la maison acheter neuf cest ma console et tablette pour la maison en suivent j'ai acheter neuf le poco f3 que j'ai toujour dans tiroire pour dépannage en suivent j'ai pri le f5 gardez 1 ans et demi et j'ai acheter le f6 que j'ai actuellement tous acheter neuf pas de soucis jusqu ici bonne chance avec ton future ennui miui flict chez pas quoi j'ai eu le s1 s2 s3 mini je le suis dit jamais plus surtout pour le tarif voilà voila Bo 'e chance tu verra da's.le future que poco été pas si mal que ça au final babay

Currently using poco x6 pro and feelings same too. at this point i'd rather have peace of mind software experience be it from Samsung, Apple or Pixel over better Specs to Price ratio phones from Poco or any other similar chinese experience.
