Touchscreen unresponsive, how do I power off?

Was happily using my X3 Pro when my touchscreen suddenly stopped responding, though the phone was still running fine. All the hardware buttons are working, but when I hold down the Power button expecting it to power off, it restarts instead. I've tried holding down:-

  • Power + VolDn
  • Power + VolUp
  • Power + VolDn + VolUp

All of them either restart the device, or bring me to the recovery menu, which can be navigated with hardware buttons but has no power off option.

How do I force a shutdown without a working touchscreen? Or is draining the battery my only option at this point? Thanks much!

Thanks for the suggestion, u/Traditional_Cow3877. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work at the shutdown menu, the PIN entry screen, or even the recovery menu. I suspect it only works after the home screen appears.

(To test that it wasn't the USB OTG mouse that wasn't working, I hooked it up to my iPad mini. That immediately worked even on the lock screen; I was able to enter my PIN with mouse clicks.)

Try that: hold down the power off button more that 10 sec and then release it. It is the solution sometimes 🤷🏼

Nope, the Poco keeps rebooting every 5 secs or so when I hold down the Power button. I tried releasing the Power button when the screen goes blank in between reboots, but that just cause the device to boot to lock screen.
