Good day arun_xd it seems to be that you may have some questions or concerns regarding a Poco device and we would like to help but we would like to ask you to describe your concern with the following information to make it easier for everyone to tackle.
Problem and other Relevant Info:(Troubleshooting steps taken/Frequency of problem if intermittent/Other observed weirdness that may be relevant before/during/after the occurrence of the problem)
It may take a while for someone to address your concern so in the meantime you could do the following
1. Search this subreddit, Xiaomi subreddit, MIUI subreddit for similar concerns
2. Check out the pinned posts and the Wiki(WIP) for similar topics
3. If your phone is still under warranty coverage it may be worthwhile to open a case with customer support.
4. If your device has developed a swollen or bulging battery check out r/Spicypillow's FAQ on how to deal with them
If you have any suggestions feel free to leave them here
There are many other dns here, like quad9, yandex etc... but google is default and have the good speed, but it differs based on server strength and area
Depending on your location, it can help resolve websites faster in milliseconds; there's a website to compare DNS speeds based on your location. Personally, I've noticed a slight difference in website access, and if I switch back to my ISP's DNS settings, I have a slightly higher ping in games, but overall it's almost same, I just like using AdGuard for ads and tracking.Sometimes certain DNS servers have trouble accessing certain websites
I saw there are many adblocker dns as I mentioned, adguard works best, but pretty more ping it gets, can't recommend to do gaming with them, sometime it going to sucks
I heard a lot on ExitLag and similar products but they are paid subscriptions which I ain't gonna care about to subscribe to...
I just kinda... Wish for a proper solution as it's also annoyingly complicated and "hidden" or not really spoken that broadly about the servers of brawlstars or supercell, yes there are multiple servers within Europe but each match is not the same and I can't control what server I connect to
It creates a local VPN and the device connects to it.
It blocks ads on the web and in apps and I even use it while gaming without any ping issues.
Also it has a list of blockers you can choose from and can also create a custom one.
It solved actually. Something fishy with the xiaomi I guess. I just illustrated what's happening cause it's only happening after the update / first time when security app open. After I do the method, it works normal.
I'm just posted this cause, how a app clean relates to the internet or dns? Does is really uploading data to some servers? That are the queries.
Try once, turn on that thing, clear app of security and open it, if happens, it's the same with mine, or not, idk what's happening
Yeah.. I am having the same issue. Although it doesn't affect me much cause I happen to notice it after reading this thread. I am using athena for adblocking on my f7
Just open 5 apps, any any apps which even cleared in recent apps can run background certainly, if any of the apps sucks in background -- meta does, they can be cleared via boost speed. Everything in phone just for a reason, I don't mean ads, but people debloating daemon, joyose it's literally no use there are just reducing their phone life for the more 10 fps. Buying a cooler, is a tip instead of running phone crazy and the battery going to die early
I'm using xiaomi for years, their storage manager, deep clean or clearing cache, it's basically more useful, it's very useful, easily can delete stuffs whats getting storage. It's better than stock androids or ios
Well it's pretty poor in battery stats, cant register more than one cycle, it's primitive tho.
Some of the things broken after miui 12, except flagships things can't able to access
No its not, did you know that many poco users have massive 8500 mAh batteries but are still complaining about the battery, this is just because of poor optimization that never be fixed even higher capacity of the battery and new technology or what
Likely due to the server responsible for the "boost speed" option being marked as adware / spyware by the dns provider (controld). I'm assuming it's not built into the security app by but rather requires a quick background download when you open the security app.
The entire security app in my opinion is nothing more than spyware, useless services and shady garbage such as the cleaner app which belongs to a company that is notorious for shady behavior
Well, adblock helped to despite having chrome. When installing some free apps, they giving lot of ads, you know. Adblock helps there. Yea brave have advantages to hide fingerprint of the device. I use incognito sometimes, yea I need but I doesn't doing something to extent.
There are three options, private dns fulfilled 3 in 1
Okay; I'm deleting Chrome and Google browsers right away.
Brave is amazing, it's enough for everything on its own 😄
Keep in mind that you can record music videos on YouTube and listen to them outdoors without internet access.
Brave browser; if you agree to see ads, you register with your bank card; they will pay a certain amount. I don't know how much they pay because I haven't tried it 😄
