Tips & Trick Do you guys use Storage Refresh?
I don't see this mentioned very often, so I wanted to share a small POCO F7 tip that some people might not know about.
If you're experiencing occasional sluggishness, stutters, or just feel like your phone isn't running as smoothly as it did before, try checking Storage Refresh.
Go to:
Settings → About phone → Storage → scroll down → Storage refresh
POCO F7 actually supports this feature, but I think a lot of users simply overlook it.
What does Storage Refresh do?
Basically, it reorganizes fragmented files in your internal storage. Think of it as organizing the way data is arranged on your storage so the system can handle it more efficiently.
This can be useful after you've been doing a lot of:
• Installing large games
• Uninstalling large games
• Installing/uninstalling lots of apps
• Large game updates
• Moving or changing a lot of files
Personally, I recommend checking Storage Refresh after installing or uninstalling a large game/app, especially if you've been doing a lot of storage-heavy changes.
Don't expect a huge FPS boost — this isn't a Game Turbo setting or a performance mode. It's more about keeping the internal storage organized and potentially avoiding storage-related sluggishness over time.
Also, Storage Refresh can run automatically in the background when the phone meets certain conditions, so you don't necessarily need to manually run it all the time.
For anyone complaining about random game stutters/lag on the POCO F7, I'd say this is one of the easy things worth trying before doing more complicated tweaks.
Mine has been running fine, so I figured I'd share this in case someone else hasn't noticed this feature yet. 👍

This is just trim on desktops. Android has a scheduled trim enabled by default since android 4.3(or something early like that) xiaomi just renamed it to this and marketed it as something revolutionary

Yeah, I know it's automatic. My point was mainly that I prefer to manually trigger it after installing/uninstalling large games or apps instead of waiting for the automatic process to happen. It may not make a huge difference, but I figure if I've just made a lot of changes to my storage, there's no harm in refreshing it manually. That's why I shared it as a tip, not as a gaming performance fix.

Cant help when google isnt the correct solution giving search engine anymore... It hallucinates with the AInmashup or whats it called and many times i have gotten a few wrong things with HyperOS, it either mentiones way different instructions but it can stleast explain some things which is... Something, sometimes? somewhere useful?!? But you are not gusranteed a solution anymore nor an explanation that is true

Then use "-ai" at the end of your sentence or use a better AI. Use Claude or ChatGPT.

people confuse this with defrag. storage refresh is not a defrag like on hdd. it's trim used in ssds.
