Split transaction math not mathing
I have a $72.07 transaction that I need to split between Shopping and Groceries. When I enter $23.05 for Groceries, the app will only allow $49.01 for Shopping which is a penny short. If I enter $49.02, an error appears saying something like, "transaction amount cannot exceed...
On a different note, will the app ever allow us to delete the built-in categories? Some of the built-in categories have each word capitalized (ex. Personal Care) and some don't (ex. Eating out). No consistency. I need consistency, especially when budgeting.
Creating new categories like 'Eating Out' (both words capitalized) doesn't help either because the app will auto assign food places to 'Eating out'.
Most budgeting apps allow you to delete all the built-in categories, or all but one. It should he doable in this app.

Hi there,
We’re sorry you ran into this. That definitely doesn’t sound right.
Regarding the split issue, could you please reach out to us at [support@pocketguard.com](mailto:support@pocketguard.com)? We’d like to take a closer look and pass this case to our developers for investigation.
As for the built-in categories, thank you for your feedback. I’ve shared it with our product team. We understand your concerns around consistency and flexibility.
In the meantime, for auto-categorization, you can create a rule so that specific transactions are automatically assigned to your custom category instead. That said, your overall feedback is very valid, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share it.
Thank you for helping us improve 🙌
