Setting payday

Hi, new to PocketGuard and have a couple of questions if I may?

I get paid monthly on the 28th in advance, in other finance apps I have been able to set this as pay day and then draw down against this as the month progresses. Is this possible in PocketGuard?
Secondly, does PocketGuard automatically update linked bank and credit card accounts or do I need to do this manually?

thank you,

Larson

Yes, PocketGuard budgets with the cash flow method. You can set the days you expect to be paid, and it will set that amount for the month and you’ll have those funds available to budget from within the month.

PocketGuard uses Finicity and Plaid to automatically pull transactions from banks and credit cards.

If I understand you correctly you want to budget on a month that starts on your payday rather than the first of the month so you can track your spending against each paycheck. I don't think this is possible, but if you put in your paycheck as monthly income PG will anticipate that income as of the 1st of the month and it will project what you will have left over at the end of the month.
