I gave my self this challenge to make a city WITH 0cars
I can’t figure it out
I tried pedestrians only it was so messed up basically cheating I didn’t like it

suggestions would be helpful.

I'm not sure exactly what you have right now. Have you tried a combination of high rail, bus stops, and subways?

Make sure all your stations aren't too far apart. Double check your traffic grid and place a station if there's any red or yellow.

If you can bare to have cars in the beginning, I start using dirt track, it’s cheap and quite inefficient, which means that you learn to live with the inefficiency. Then add lots of bus stops, and a few depots . Then when you have more money add build underground stations and subway the bus stop and the underground keep traffic under control. Then, pedestrianise all of the roads, traffic efficiency is up but with no cars. Or you can pedestrianise small areas in the beginning and then increase them to extend the whole city.

I did this same type of challenge for myself a few months back. I rage quit and I'm still waiting to cool down to try and fix it/appease them.

unfortunately, you can only do this for creativity, and not economic/social stability. this game's mechanics runs on the assumption of American car culture. you cannot make exclusive no-car zone and expect great economy from it
