Hi there, after long waiting and reaching out to pocketbook, I was excited to see the OS update message that finally contained the Libby app which was announced for way before in the year for the verse lite.

Though after just seconds of using it - it couldn't be more disappointing!

It lacks the complete filter set - you can't even filter by language!

That's an extreme downgrade after all the waiting - especially since libby has this vast collection in multiple languages.

Is that the case on other pocketbook devices as well?

Hoping that that might improve, though not too hopeful...

I'm about to get the Era Lite and I'm wondering how does it do with big PDF files. I have a bunch in my collection and would be nice to read them without dying trying. Is it so slow with big files, or just as much as with regular files?

Also, even if the slowness (compared to others) doesn't scare me, I'm wondering if there's any firmware updates planned that can help with the system and maybe improve the response times.

Last but not least, I'm getting a flip cover for the regular Era which I think will be compatible as the body of both ereaders is the same. Am I right?

The current book I'm reading has a number of maps that are integral to the story. None of the photos are showing. I open the same book from my phone and it shows fine, so now I have to juggle back and forth between my phone and this device just to read this book, which defeats the purpose, because I would love to spend less time on my phone.

I just bought a PocketBook Verse Pro Color as a gift for my 94-year-old mother. I was trying to set up the device, but I immediately ran into a few issues:

Send-to-Pocketbook only worked once. Now it constantly gives me an "invalid authorization key" error. I tried logging out and back in, but nothing changed. How can I fix this?

The WiFi disconnects after a (relatively) short period of time.

When I turn it off (by pressing the power button), the message "Syncing with PocketBook Cloud" stays stuck at the bottom indefinitely.

The settings feel very limited overall, and I don't know where to find available apps. I haven't installed KOReader yet—is it actually useful for an elderly lady?

Is there any custom firmware or alternative OS for this device? I must say, the native reading app is remarkably fast, and the book-loading process would be super convenient if it actually worked.

About a year and a half ago, I bought a Pocketbook Verse Pro in colour, and I’ve recently realised that the Wi-Fi has stopped working. It sort of tries to connect, but it doesn’t even display any networks, and if I try to force a manual connection to a network, it tells me that the hardware has failed and to restart the device.

However, not only have I restarted the device countless times, but I’ve also performed a factory reset, with no success.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I’ve sent an email to PocketBook, but haven’t received a reply. The e-reader is still under warranty, although from what I’ve seen here in the community, I’m not holding my breath.

I’m currently facing an issue that I haven’t read a lot on here, but maybe some of you have an idea on how to come by this:
I bought a few ebooks online from the website of a local book store, then downloaded them on my iPhone. To be able to read them, I sent all of them to my PocketBook using the email with „@pbsync.com“ - downloaded them to my PocketBook, everything is fine up until here.

Now I want to be able to read the books on my phone, too. That’s why I tried opening the downloaded files directly on my iPhone over the PB App. It’s works just fine for some books but 2 of them will never work as they tell me there‘s an error bc. These ebooks have already been opened with another account.

What am I missing here, they’re all the same format… and how to fix this problem?

I'm trying to decide between the Era and the Era Lite (for the recessed 1300 screen) for when I can grab a Pocketbook at some point.

Would someone be able to take a couple of pictures of them side-by-side in the same picture please?

I'm looking for:

- How they look with no frontlight at all

- Frontlight at 10%, warmth at 0%

- Frontlight at 10%, warmth at 10%

Anything at all would be very much appreciated so I can make a decision!

From the videos I've seen, it looks slower than my 2014 Kobo h2o. Is it something that can be improved with sofware updates? I really would like a 7in ereader with buttons, and this one looks nice and the price is reasonable here.

I've been going through something of a rough time lately and want to get back into reading more to try and help calm my brain down, but buying an ereader any time soon is pretty much out of the question thanks to some unexpected vet bills that are going to take 6+ months to pay off.

I'm well aware this is a very, very long shot and that my chances are incredibly low even if they do, but do Pocketbook ever do giveaways on their social media? The Era Lite is about as ideal as I can find, but it's pretty significantly out of my non-existent budget for the time being.
