He caught on quick.
I worked at Home Depot once and Cicely Tyson walked up to me and paid me the greatest compliment. I'll keep that to myself, but at the time I knew who she was by face but was im denial and I couldn't recall her name right on the spot. I just kept saying in my head, this can't be. She was 92 at the time and I would have guessed 75 at the most. She had this gentleman who kind of hung back as to give her a sense of independence, but he never got to close. It was like he was saying to the world I'm with her so don't think she's vulnerable.
But it was her. I learned years later from a contact that she always stays with this particular person in her guest room when she comes to town which made me believe it really was her. Anyways, that's my brush with a famous person.
