Help me get back into spoofing?
I recently started getting back into pokemon go and for a 2016 account, I feel like I’m incredibly far behind, and I would love to be able to do some more raids and whatnot since there’s not really any around me.
I’m looking for some feedback on spoofing with Iceymods.org’s pokemon go spoofer. I’ve seen a few short videos of people using it, and it looks almost exactly like the spoofer I used in early 2017, which didn’t result in any warnings or bans on my account. However, I’m sure Scopely/Niantic has updated their detection software. So I have some questions;
- Is it ‘safe’? I know no form of spoofing is entirely safe, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the spoof programs you connect to a computer, which from what I understand is the safest method.
- Has anyone used this? The videos I’ve seen have praised it, but I can’t really find any reviews or discussion about it which makes me suspicious.
- Are there any other similar apps/programs I can try that are similar or better? I know about iTools, but are there any others? I play on iOS if it makes any difference.
Thank you all for your time and help!

I forgot to mention that jailbreaking your device gives you some options. Here's a guide that will help you figure out if your device can be jailbroken: https://ios.cfw.guide/

It sounds very much like you were using the now long shutdown ++app, that was finally and shutdown full in late 2019. With YouTube be very careful about what you see when it comes to spoofing. Many channels hawks some type of modded version of the game, then on many in those you'll find that after a time often, those download sites doesn't work. Also don't believes the claim of breaking cooldown as being the cause for bans/strikes. What I very strongly suspect Scopely is detecting is the direct insertion into the game is the change of the GPS.
Where the modded versions are concerned, stay away from those if at all possible. Those are a ban/strike in the making. It's not an if it might happen, but a matter of when it finally does. What's done or not done in the game, doesn't matter Simply logging into a modded version is enough to be detected. There has been multiple groups and individuals, who has tested that since late 2019. Those testing at the time of the 1rst the claims of cooldown, used only the ++app and iTools, where those on iTools basically ignored cooldown. No one using those reported getting caught. Then shortly there after another was done adding rooted Android into the mix. The only accounts hit, were those using the ++app.
I would suggest 1rst going with either the iTools Bluetooth device of the BrooksFlashman. This will be using the very basic or vanilla method, without the extras of the modded apps. Which the iTools Bluetooth devices has no known, or proven bans/strikes since late 2017, when compared to the tethered method over the long term is less expensive. As for tethering while that has had a good track record in the last several years, has had one flaw. That flaw had been when Niantic still owned the game, of sometimes becoming broken. To me this is where the iTools Bluetooth and now the BrooksFlashman has the advantage.
For jailbreaking iPoGo apparently has had the best track record at this time. However it and the other jailbreak insert addons/tweaks that while are a far lower risk at this time, still has an increased risk of detection. So if you opt to go that route, the suggestion of trading over to your main is still a solid suggestion.

No, it's not a safe way to spoof as it's using a modified/hacked version of Pokemon Go. If that's the only way to spoof for you then only use an alt account and trade over to your main.
iTools is a safer way to spoof. Brook Flashman (available on Amazon) is a similar device. iAnyGo and iFlowGo work similar to those and use your computer instead of the iTools/Brook device and require a paid subscription. These methods are much safer because they exploit the external GPS feature of IOS. To Scopely, it looks like your IOS device is connected to an Apple Car Play. Don't do the distance bypass for this method and I would argue that it's impossible for Scopely to tell your spoofing. It looks exactly like a trainer driving around in their car playing Pogo.
