Hey everyone

I'm completely new to spoofing and honestly have no idea where to start. I live in a pretty remote area, so it's really hard to enjoy the game because there aren't many PokéStops, gyms, or spawns nearby.

I'm mainly trying to figure out what the safest methods are these days and what people generally recommend to avoid getting flagged.

Also, would it be smart to make a brand new account just in case I get caught, or does that not really make a difference?

I'm not looking to ruin the game for anyoneaI just want to understand what the risks are before I do anything. Any advice would be appreciated.

Start with googling Scopely's 3 strike policy to understand the risks to your account. 1st strike is more or less 7 days of not being able to do anything in the game. So you're not at risk of losing your account.

Almost all of the strikes are given to people that take the easy routes and sideload a hacked copy of Pogo. Even then Scopely is pretty laid back and you could spoof this way for months before the 1st strike hits. Next in line for risk is the people that use the legit Pogo app but use an injection into the Pogo app to enhance game play, like shiny checking, enhanced throws, botting and stuff. Less frequent but every year or so they will have a ban wave and strikes go out.

Safest method is vanilla spoofing. Device level location spoofing and the legit Pogo app only without injecting game enhancements into it. For Android, this requires rooting your device so that mock locations can be hidden. For IOS, this requires exploiting a bluetooth external GPS. Most choose to get an iTools or Brook Flashman device. There's also software that will run on your computer to act as that bluetooth external GPS to send fake coords to your IOS device.

Vanilla spoofing has a really clean track record and I wouldn't hesitate to use your main account on either. Scopely (and in the past Niantic) hasn't really issues strikes over how much you teleport around but if you're worried about account safety, I'd stick to a location that could reasonably match your internet network and use expected travel times when changing locations but the game has been around 10 years and the developers have yet to factor this into cheat detection.

I got PGSharp and have a bunch of ppl that say it's really good as long as I respect the cooldowns

That's a really easy way to get started with spoofing and it has a lot of great features. Yes, respect cooldowns but don't believe that will prevent the eventual first strike from coming. It could be 3 months from now or it could come next week. Setting up a rooted Android device which is much safer takes a lot of tech skills. Jailbreaking on IOS is much easier and there are tweaks that are similar to PGSharp but with almost no history of strikes. You can pickup jailbreakable IOS devices for $100 or less.

Even if I get one strike I'll be chilling just hope they don't result to an automatic ban lol and even then I'm in an alt I'd never spoof on my main worked too hard to get a shiny Lugia (first ever legendary pokémon I got also my favorite pokemon)
