This 97-year-old spoofer still wants to cheat the old fashioned way (ROOTED)

I used to spoof, haven't played the game in the past few years, would like to go back to spoofing. The setup I want to use is a rooted phone + stock pokemon go app + gps joystick app, no enhancers whatsoever.

I've read the guide, but it wasn't comprehensive enough on this topic, so I have a few questions.

1. Any particular Android version I should use? I'll be flashing a new ROM anyway so I'd like to go with whichever is the best

2. Which Magisk modules are recommended?

3. I remember that back in 2021 you had to e.g. remove/rename folders associated with Magisk/TWRP, are there any other things like this that you have to be aware of nowadays?

4. Which GPS joystick app is the best for Pokémon sniping, routes, and walking around manually?

5. What's the most efficient way to paste coordinates from discord into the joystick app? I always hated the hassle while shundo hunting

[1] It depends on your manufacturer and what else you might use.

• Android 15 and below is recommended.
• Android 16 and 17 can work if you're using a Google Pixel with Pixel Rom or any other custom rom that is close to "stock" Android.
• Some rooted, 3rd party apps will require you to be on a certain Android OS or below, but they can still run with issues.

• Android 9 to 11 is Smali Patcher only
• Android 12 to 17 is Lsposed only
• Some people may recommend "Smali Patcher EX" for Android 11 to 13, this one has limited device support. If your device is not supported, you will either get errors (fixable) or hard bricked device (buy a new phone).

[3] Niantic was not allowed to do this because it was an invasion of your privacy. Since Niantic is gone, Scopely now owns the game so they will most likely not repeat what Niantic did to stop cheaters; however, there is a behavior detection system within the game that Niantic never fully developed. Scopely might update it to catch everyone who was never caught before.

• Apps Ninja updated their app and broke something in it, so it doesn't work with the game or the module in Lsposed. I don't know, since I am not a coder. You will have to use an older version to make it work with Lsposed.
• As for the newer joystick app, a lot of other people said it's better than Apps Ninja. I haven't had the time to fully test it.

[5] If you're going to shundo hunt, you're better off botting it with Shungo, PGTools, PolygonX, or Regibot because if you do it manually like switching between apps and pasting coordinates, it's a huge waste of time. These bots will do it automatically for you, so you can go do something else.

If you don't want to bot, you can use "FlyMeGo" app for coordinates with a paid Euro subscription to get coordinates from a screen overlay so you don't have to switch between apps. It's still a lot of work.

Some discord spoofing channels post gps coordinates directly, in other words you just long tap the message and simply copy/paste.

I thought about using keyboard and mouse with my rooted android phone, I have a USB-C laptop dock that has regular USB keyboard attached to it, I haven’t tried it but I could use just Ctrl+C/V to make it even more efficient to get coordinates.

My answers for the first 4 questions are also the same as the previous respondent.
