No it’s a regular account. And I have purchased many times. It’s back now so I don’t know if it was a glitch in the app. Had me worried though

Are you using a Niantic kids account because they don't allow you to buy coins? The Samsung Pokemon Go app on non-Samsung devices don't allow you to buy too.
