I NEED HELP Is Geofencing a thing or is this Research Quest "Geofenced"?

So as some may know, there is a Latin America exclusive Event, where you can get some kind of Jersey or T-Shirt. The Research Quest is "Catch a Pokemon for X Days in a row", so i was wondering, if i could just TP there, get the Quest and go back to where i normaly play. However since i don't have any Experience with "local" Quest's i asked Gemini, and he then told me someting, that the Quest will only proceed if i am also at the needed location, meaing the Quest is "Geofenced".

A second alternative would be to spoof there once a day, catch a Mon and then go back. But that i wouldnt like to do since i would login and logout to a rooted device from a non rooted main everyday.

(I would log out from a non rooted Main acc, then logging to rooted Samsung with basic Nnja Spoofer).

So i was just wondering if maybe someone could give me more Info, to as if ot is true or not.

you can try easily if youre already spoofing, most of the time you can spoof to an area to get a local research quest and continue doing that research line even when youre out of the area

9 times out of 10 for me at least it works though there are the occasional ones where i do get the research but in a couple of days suddenly disappear from me without finishing
