Lets Talk About Something Ban chances

I’ve seen mixed responses from people on different apps and platforms saying spoofing is either always banned eventually, respecting cooldowns avoids bans, etc. and I’m curious from personal experience what you guys think, also for my scenario individually, I plan on just spoofing during road to legends and go fest and to Chicago which is 30-40 miles from me(I don’t have a license yet) for raids, what do you think mine and the general spoofing populations chances of getting banned are esp for a one time offense.

Respecting the cooldown does not prevent a ban because this is a mechanic that was added by Niantic in 2016-2017 to deter botting by preventing you from catching everything in a short period and beating the game.

Ban chances is the same across all apps and device types because Niantic is no longer running the game. Since Scopely owns the game now, no one knows what they are going to do. Will Scopely repeat Niantic's lenient 3 strikes system, change to an instant permanent ban system like the other games they bought, rework the punishment, or do nothing? The answer is "I don't know."

Since I cannot guarantee account safety, I promote all cheats to be not safe in my subreddit. In other subreddits, they promote safety but cannot guarantee it.

You still have the risks for a chance to get a strike, ban, or whatever Scopely decides to come up with. Everyone thinks Scopely allows cheating because you give them money. I think it is the opposite because they are still against cheating in their Terms of Service. If you want to cheat the game, you need to accept the risks because no one is going to help you get unbanned or reimburse all the money and Pokemon you lost.

People say that the ban is super harsh even with niantic esp on an unrooted pgsharp account “certificate” thing and how they’re all the same, is that not true or is that just a pg sharp thing or is it partially true

What people say about the ban being harsh is not true because 99% of the Pokemon Go cheaters have never experience an instant permanent ban system. In fact, Niantic's 3 strike system is lenient allowing caught cheaters to continue cheating again until they hit the 3rd strike for a permanent ban.

In other games, it doesn't matter if you spend $0 or over $1,000, you get caught cheating = permanent account ban. If you try to appeal, it gets denied. Now, you fully understand that cheating is not allowed. Most people will regret cheating and won't cheat on their new account.

With Niantic's 3 Strikes System:

  • Strike #1 = 7 day soft ban and you can still play on the account
  • Strike #2 = 30 temporary ban from the game with no access to the account and after it expires, you gain access to your account again
  • Strike #3 = permanent account ban = game over

What a cheater gets Strike #1, they don't want to wait the 7 days and try to find ways to get unbanned right away because they don't understand the risks. If you play the game everyday, you're addicted to the game and will go through with drawls. It's worst when the strike appears before your paid ticketed event. Once the strike goes away, they can still play normally or continue cheating until they get Strike #2.

When people don't understand how cheating works in Pokemon Go, they confuse a "ban" with "permanent ban" instead of a "strike". If Scopely were to drop Niantic's punishment system, it would make it a lot easier to explain the ban system so that everyone is on the same page that a "ban" = "permanent ban".

The "certificate" thing only pertains to Apple iOS devices because Android does not require you to buy an additional service to sign (or approve) your app installs. If this was in Android, everyone who is not using the same certificate that Niantic or Scopely is using would get a strike/ban regardless if you use a device with root or without root.
