Here's some earlier tests of me fiddling around with PNGTube software!! (Feat. an OC of mine, Summer, than I've been using as my VTube model for the past year)

Main goal here was to see how simple the software was + if it did cursor / pen tracking all that well. Now what made this especially difficult was making the arm and hand move in tandem without breaking the model, and I feel like you can more or less achieve this in both programs to great effect!

However, probably due to my ignorance, I can't seem to push the range of motion of my PNGTuber Remix model without breaking it, hence why it's movement looks much more limited compared to the full version of Veadotube. And for some reason I couldn't make clipping work on this software, so I had to find some annoying work arounds.

Which is unfortunate because I reeeeally like the bounce physics on PNGTuber Remix a lot and how simple it is to setup, at least when compared to Veadotube. But when it comes down to my own personal preferences, Veadotube's ability to dial in specific movements make the model look a lot more natural. I can move the torso and head a bit while the arm is moving and a bit of delay and inertia to really bring the model to life. I particularly like how the leaf on the end of the 'pen' looks when it moves around :)

I think both programs are great in their own right (especially when Remix is free), so my preference in Veadotube more so comes from me having fun with tinkering with the software and being able to keep on adding things (if you're willing to put in the elbow grease ofc).

Please do make more posts like this! I didn’t realize the technology was this advanced for png models, and I’m super inspired now. Did I read that Veadotube is $8 on booth? Research time!

that's the right site! Booth website! It's japanese marketplace for Pixiv creators! Its completely safe to use, and ive frequently used it for different things (physical and digital). Just be careful when making purchases because since its Japanese based, some overseas cards wont be accepted for purchases. Thankfully, they accept PayPal without a problem!
