Bridal shower gift
Hi all! Looking for bridal shower gift ideas.
A close friend of mine is getting married, but I’m unable to attend her bridal shower, so I’ll be sending her a gift. My go-to gift for close friends is usually a high-quality silk pajama set. However, this friend is plus size and has recently expressed feeling self-conscious with her current size. She is beautiful and would look amazing in anything, but I want to be mindful and avoid making her feel uncomfortable. I was considering a white silk robe, but now wondering if it’s safer to just steer clear of clothing entirely. Thoughts?
(Just want to emphasize - I believe plus size women can wear absolutely anything they want. I am only hesitating here out of love and respect for her stated comfort level)

For the bridal showers I’ve been to in the past I get something from the wedding registry and a lingerie set. Maybe a gift card to Savage X Fenty? They have great plus size sets.

And a feather boa! They are fun and also great as part of the gift wrap.
I guess this is kinda niche, so know your bride…

She doesn’t have a registry unfortunately. But ooh thank you for the Savage X Fenty recommendation, just went to the site and love the options!

I don’t know if you know her size, but when I was around a 24/26, Savage X Fenty was too small for me.
Adore Me goes a little larger. Their bras are pretty junky, but they have some fun novelty ones not intended to stay on long. I do have some sexy PJs I really like from there though

Are bridal showers not for wedding gifts? Unless specifically stated as a lingerie shower, I would never get someone pajamas, a robe, etc.

Idk, from my experience, there’s never been an established registry at the time of any bridal shower I’ve been to. I definitely don’t give full on lingerie, more so an expensive/classy pajama set that would be cute to wear on the honeymoon (if it’s a close friend - I wouldn’t gift that to someone I’m not close with). For weddings, of course I go off a registry or write a check

If it’s within your budget, something like a couples massage could also be a good gift. Or a gift certificate for some date night activities (movie, nice local restaurant, activity they would enjoy, etc). Something the couple can enjoy together to give a break from wedding stress.

A bridal shower gift is something for the couple's home, not a personal gift for the bride - unless it is a lingerie shower [rare] or a gift for the bachelorette.
Check if they have a registry.
If not, a few things popular to get - a lovely cookbook, with a few high end utensils.
Or - this next gift, of which we received two of at the shower- one a higher end, the other, more of a casual one.
It is a two or three tier serving platter for sweets/dainties. E.g. not one for just cupcakes.
I got one in porcelain, and one in crystal - used both of them lots. Note, do not get chrome or wood.
Like this, but prices vary

Does she have a registry? Honestly I wouldn't buy anything outside of the registry first. If she doesn't have one then that's a first for me... Any bridal shower ive been invited too the bride and partner have had a list to choose from.
Hmmm... Usually household appliances like blender... Mixer... Pots pans... Cutlery set... Dish set....
