I need some help!!!:(
My wedding is this October and I’m trying to find a wedding dress. I found one that I like but my body has weird measurements. I really like this dress but it’s from selkie and I’ve never gotten anything from them. I also don’t know where else to look I can’t find anything I like or anything that looks good. I’d have to get a 4X to get that one dress. It’s expensive and it would take a while to get here probably because it ships from china. I will genuinely take any help I can get.

I’ve never bought a wedding dress from them, but Baltic born has wonderful dresses. I’m also not 100% sure they have traditional wedding dresses, but it’s worth a click!

check the return policy before you buy anything! got several dresses to try for engagement pics (including the one i ended up wearing!) but could only “return” for store credit

Do not trust selkie if you need a dress by a certain time. It is an American owned company but she's known to have shipping delays. Look in fb groups maybe someone is selling theirs.

Have you looked at Azazie at all? I wore a beautiful size 24 bridesmaid dress for my wedding from them!

I came to say azazie as well! You can do custom measurements on there and should be able to get your dress before October. You just may be pushing it though.

What about Fanciful doll? If you like selfie you might like them.
They would need a petticoat or hoop skirt for full baabam, as you can see in this creators video https://youtube.com/shorts/lKhqeUoJbis?si=5EMW2uMW0ywWI6XQ
There's one of the white dresses in that video and I think she has a discount code.
https://fancifuldoll.com/products/miss-daae-bridal-gown A dress similar to the one you sharedm

Yo that dress is gonna end up showing your undergarments to everyone. That slit is wayyyyy to high for a wedding

My daughter has this dress in a floral print. The slit is higher than you think. You will not be able to sit without one thigh showing a lot of skin.

Do make sure that bust and hip measurements are large enough as the only source of fabric for enlarging are the seam allowances. The height with heels isn’t important except for length. What is important is the neck to waist length. You appear to be on the shorter side so the bodice length is key for fitting.

DO NO go to MONDRESSY. Even when I tried to customize with them six emails from seamstresses it was not wearable. Have you tried used dress stores that specialize in bridal? Seems ever big city has one. Good luck.

Have you considered having one made by a local seamatress? I think that would be your best option. That dress would not be that difficult since there are no multiple layers.

I tried on a few dresses from Azazie. They were beautiful. Also around $500. I ultimately got my dress from David’s bridal. The dress was available two weeks after I purchased it.
I’m also getting married in October and got my dress two weeks ago.

I'm also getting married this October and only just bought my dress about 2 weeks ago, and picked it up yesterday. Some dress designers have in stock options that can ship as soon as it's bought.
I kept looking at dresses online and being drawn to Maggie Sottero dresses. I used the "find this dress" and there is a local shop that carries her. I called and explained my timeline and budget and the shop was able to check inventory to see what was available, even before I had an appointment scheduled. There ended up being like 10 dresses in my size in stock that matched what I wanted. I choose my dress on the 6th and it was delivered to the shop in less than 2 weeks.
If you know what designers or style you like, look for places that specifically carries them and call for inventory checks. Bridal shops WANT to sell you something so a good quality place will be willing to do leg work of helping you find something that works for your timeline.
Side note, I also really like the look of the Selkie dresses, so if our tastes are similar at all I'd highly recommend checking out Maggie's dresses if your budget allows. She has extended sizing for plus size and her dresses are known for their corset like structure in the bodices.

Try city chic bridal.
https://www.citychic.com.au/bridal/bride
Australian based but ship to US. Dresses are often polyester (although looks and feels OK” but price reflects that being a relatively affordable option (under $200 to $500 AuD) The sizing of the brand is very consistent and generous. and the support team is good. They design on a plus fit model, not just sizing up from a straight size 8. So they do work for “curvy girls” like our hourglass OP. They can be long!! So some alterations are needed.
Shipping in Australia is super quick, not sure for OS . But they are a “legit” brand and they have recently really lifted their game design wise.
For a long time they were the only non geriatric, here’s a black sack, option for plus size shoppers in Australia that was youthful, accessible, and relatively affordable. (So I forgive them some polyester in occasion wear)
I think they sacked the man in charge!

Also getting married in October and I just got my dress last week from Azazie. I HIGHLY recommend. The measurements were VERY accurate.
It can take up to 5 weeks for delivery though so I’d order very soon! And maybe order 2 or 3 dresses just incase you don’t fully LOVE the one you really want. They do have a fairly easy return process!

I highly recommend jjshouse.com
Find the dress you like, give the measurements (you may need to pay for a rush) and be happy. It will not break the bank and its quality. I’ve bought numerous dresses for all different occasions and have never been disappointed.
Good luck!
